How to share posts from Instagram Feed to Stories
Instagram has recently released a new way for the users to share feed posts as stories.
In the feature’s launch post, Instagram explained:
When you come across something in feed that inspires you — like a post from a friend raising money for a cause or a photo of a new design from your favorite brand — you can now quickly share that post as a sticker to your story for your friends and followers to see.
How to share posts on stories:
1. Tap on the paper airplane button below the post (like you would do to share the post via DM).
2. You will then see an option ‘ Add post to your Story’ on the following menu.
3. Tap it to see the post as a sticker ready to be shared to your story. You can resize, rotate and move the photo or video. You can even use drawing tools or add stickers and text.
Any post shared to the story will include a backlink to the original post and also the poster’s username.
Note: Only posts from public accounts can be shared to stories.
How can wedding photographers use this feature?
Many wedding photographers already use Instagram stories as a medium to drive attention of their brides to their latest feed post - who may have missed their feed post.
This feature will make it simple for them to cross promote their post rather than taking a screenshot of the post and uploading it as a story.
This features helps to better connect the feed with stories and also provides a way to the brides to re-share their favorite content in a more public way rather than just sending it to her friends via Direct Message.
